It has to be...just me

Let me start my first official blog by saying thanks to everyone who's reading this right now. Thanks for giving me a chance to share my views, opinions and world with you. As we begin this journey I welcome each of you to contemplate, consider, laugh, get mad, mull over, and respond. I'll cover the hottest topics in pop culture, sports, and entertainment. So thanks again for joining, make sure you tell a friend and let's get it poppin.

First topic: Stephon Marbury

See you can act like this when your line of basketball shoes cost $15.00. I don't expect anyone sitting under the study of someone known as "Zeke" to act respectably. Marbury is basically mad because Isiah Thomas didn't start him last night against Phoenix. I don't really understand why it would matter who started because they were already finished when Phoenix was put on the schedule.

Apparently Eddy Curry told Marbury, and though I obviously wasn't there I'm sure the conversation went something like this. Eddy Curry says," "A-A- Star" You know they probably call him Star short for Starbury. You'll probably say who calls him Starbury? Well just know it's a self-inflicted nickname. Back to the story; Curry says," Star you know coach ain't gonna start you tonight." Marbury says "Say What!" "Yeah I just heard coach wasn't starting you." says Curry. "Well who's starting" says Marbury already nearly out his seat. "Mardy" says Curry. "Mardy who?" ask a stunned Marbury. "Mardy man! Your back-up" laughs Curry. "Oh Hell naw!!" Marbury says as he takes off toward the front of the plane to confront Isiah.

At this point if I'm Isiah I'd offer him a parachute if he didn't like it.

In other NBA news:

Juan Howard recently agreed to terms with the Dallas Mavericks. What?? I mean what are the terms? Three hots and a cot.

Kobe has been really quiet since vocalizing his desire to be traded. I guess he's seeing that wherever he goes, because of his contract and the personnel it would take from the other team to acquire him he'd basically end up playing for a team that looks exactly like the one he's own. Stay strong Kobe as the saying goes, "Weeping may endure for a night, but you'll still be a Laker in the morning."

NCAAFB

It's that time again folks when we can argue on the job, bar, and house about who deserves what. What teams should be one and what teams are being cheated. We all have our favorites and they are usually based on where each of us are from. But, one great thing about sports is, finding that special team. It's just like finding that special person, you can't help who you love. Sometimes they break your heart, and sometimes they put you on top of the world.

I wasn't surprised to see Ohio State go down this weekend. I felt like they would have trouble with Illinois and their highly athletic offense. I also figured Zook needed this game more that Tressell and that Zook's player's would stand up to the bullies of the Big Ten.

Georgia looks good! They are making the plays and seeing the results that many thought you'd see from them all year. They are putting it together late but consistently through the final games of the season could spell trouble for whichever teams they play. Let me know who you think that will be.

The 14th ranked Virginia Cavaliers helped the University of Miami close the doors on the Orange Bowl Saturday night. Fan or not of the Hurricanes you hate to see a stadium with such a storied history close with the home team losing to the tune of 48-0. Well see if Miami can at least make it respectable against 10#Virginia Tech this weekend in Blacksburg.

#3 Kansas and #5 Missouri will square off this weekend to see who will represent the Big 12 north in the conference championship. Hit me back and let me know who you pick.

I'll have more NCAAFB for you tomorrow night but if you want to get a head start hit this link http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/schedules?week=13&season=2&year=2007&groupId=80 and do your homework for this weekend's predictions.
